To become a success, I must surround myself with successful people and copy them! You get an amazing mind from listening to amazing thinkers. Now here’s the part that you have to catch. You have to have mentors, a coach – some eagles around you. Why is that so important? Because if you shoot for a new moon – you can’t get there by yourself. Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong didn’t get there by themselves, did you know that? Did you know they had teams of thousands of people to work meticulously for two people to step on the moon? Thousands of people who contributed years of their life for two people to step on that moon. They did not get there by themselves. No one gets to the moon by themselves, you have to choose to mentor, choose to be partnered, choose to be coached, and choose a team to listen to. That’s why being in Integrity is so valuable.

I do care about whom you surround yourself with, because good coaching puts you in success seat – as long as you are coachable. It reduces your risk. You can’t get to the moon by yourself. The people who don’t need Integrity Doctors, or a Virtual Team Manager, or coaching in general, are the people who aren’t shooting for the moon. They want to go only as high as they themselves can go. The reason they don’t need eagles around them is because they are not trying to fly! They can do it on their own. You are not going to get on the moon without other people. This is good you guys. This is so important and most people never get to hear this. Truth of the matter is you can’t get to the moon on your own, discipline yourself, insist on the coaching, listen to the coaching, have the mentors, surround yourself with eagles. How many of you are parents? How many have seen your child form a friendship with someone who was a chicken instead of an eagle? Not good! You see them start saying things they wouldn’t normally say? Have you seen their attitude change? Does it matter who they hang with? And you think it matters for them and not for you?

Here is a statistic that will blow your mind: “No one in history, has ever achieved extra ordinary success without mentoring.” So here’s the secret to amazing: It’s the ability to copy genius. I’m going to tell you right now, some of my best thinking has been done by others. Some of my best points have come from other people. I have a great capacity to copy the best. Here’s the deal, in our education, we have been taught not to copy. Not to get answers from others. if we DID copy – we got a ZERO on our paper. Real life is the opposite. To be successful in business, you have to copy. You learn and copy from the successful. If we were in a math class, they would say: “you can’t use a calculator.” Why is that? You should use everything you can to get the right answer! I remember having teachers tell me, “I don’t want to give you the answers – you need to find them on your own.” Well rats, why are you the teacher then? You aren’t going to teach me the answers? What are you going to teach me then? Have we missed the point? Not me – I want to give you the answers! I want you to WIN! I want you to copy the answers and write them down. Let’s go exactly the opposite direction of education. You need a coach and when you get the coach – write down the answers and follow the directions – copy them. No one has ever achieved extra ordinary success without it.

Why is this mentoring so important with your integrity coach? Several reasons, it’s the fastest way to overcome your lack of know how! Of course, you have to admit there is something you don’t know! For some of you that might be hard. For me, that’s a piece of cake – I already know that I don’t know squat. It’s no problem for me to admit that I don’t know everything. Mentoring is the fastest way to overcome your lack of know how.

Another reason to have eagles around you and listen to your coach: it’s the fastest way to raise your self imposed limits. You need to be inspired! You need to see there is a level of achievement above where YOU are! Just when you thought you had all the new patients that you could have. You get around one of our other Integrity doctors who are doing twice as much. Don’t be limited by you experience!!!! Who said $200,000 a month is big? Who made that up? There is still a moon out there. You haven’t hit it yet. Be challenged!

Another reason for mentoring: It’s the fastest way to increase your talents. Don’t be limited to your talents – tap into the talents of others! We are stronger as a team of eagles than you are as an army of one.

Also to add to your knowledge. Have you ever heard the phrase two heads are better than one? Well, that is true as long as the other head is an EAGLE – The other head is an Integrity coach. You can add to your knowledge by adding good heads to your team!

Another reason why coaching is so important, it lifts you above your competition. How does it do that? The 98% never utilize mentoring. They already know everything. Your competition can’t comprehend having a coach. They pride themselves in doing it themselves. I’ve had so many doctors tell me that they want to see if they can do it on their own first. I don’t even want to tell you how many times I’ve heard that. Where did we get that brilliant mentality? Can you imagine Neil Armstrong saying I want to see if I can get to the moon on my own first? The reason he didn’t say that is because that is Stupid. Most people aren’t going to mentor or partner, that’s what immediately lifts you above the pack!

Another reason for coaching and mentoring is that it drastically increases your chance towards success. Don’t you want to make success as SURE as possible? Why not decrease the chance of failure? I don’t like to lose. The less chance of losing the better. Success leaves a trail and I want to follow it. I don’t need to create a road if one has already been paved. Coaching reduces your risk of failure. How many of you believe in the Bible? Here’s what Proverbs 14 says: “Without counsel, people fail, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” To me that is pretty clear. Here’s another illustration. On a recent vacation we decided to go skeet shooting. To do this, we paid a lot more money to have a coach. We didn’t just rent the guns; we wanted a coach; a professional skeeter to go with us.. He would show us everything about it: about the gun, how it works, how you load it, how you stand, how to aim, when to shoot, and then he took us out. We started shooting skeet. Here’s what happens when you have a coach: I took the gun and said, “pull”. I missed the first skeet. He said, “Okay, that was good, but here’s what you didn’t do… Then I tried again, “pull”. What happened? I missed it again (try to contain your surprise.) the coach said, “Okay, you did several things right, but here’s what you need to do different.” Now on the third time – I hit that Skeeter! Now, let me tell you – it cost more to have the coach – but not really because I hit the skeet! Most people save the money on the coach – keep saying “pull” and they spend their life shooting and missing!!!!! They are never changing or getting coaching – just missing the goals of their life – cheaply!
