The key word to this 7th principle is actually not INSPIRING – it is to LIVE! Why? Because everybody is inspired in certain moments and on certain days. We all have our “moments” of inspiration. But that isn’t enough to take you to the top. To hit this principle of success you have to rise above everybody else and do what almost nobody does – you have to LIVE inspired. You have to go into each day with inspiration and then sustain it throughout the day and into the evening, even when the circumstances aren’t right and even when you don’t feel like it. Why? Because you almost never feel like it and because the circumstances are hardly ever right. Being inspiring is not natural. It has to be the plan. This is a choice that you must continually make. How do you do it?

Let’s start with the morning. How long do you take to get ready before going to work? 30 minutes? An hour? It doesn’t matter. One thing is for sure – it is never ZERO minutes! You never walk out of your house “as is”. You take at least 30 minutes to improve your outside physical appearance before letting anybody see you. Now how many minutes do you take every morning before you see anybody to improve your inside mental and spiritual and emotional appearance so that before you leave the house you are INSPIRED! There are hours of inspiration audios and videos on the Integrity Doctors App. Listen to them. There are thousands of inspirational books – read them. Never walk out “as is” on the inside just as you would never walk out “as is” on the outside. This is a key.

Surrounding yourself with inspiring people is another key to living the inspired life. It is much easier to BE your surroundings. You must make sure you have an inspiring staff. You don’t have to PAY people to pull you down and discourage your dream. This is an aspect of your surroundings that you can control. Sometime we need to fire staff that are not inspiring. You must also make sure your friends are inspiring. I am sure you have seen the negative impact on your children when they get the wrong friends. It can change their direction and future. I am sure you have also seen when they get around someone good and inspiring and the difference that makes in the positive direction. Sometimes we need to fire our friends. Why? Because a lot of people are people drainers. They drain you of your dreams, your ambitions, your inspiring spirit and your faith. “Misery loves company” and so does happiness and success! Eagles only fly with eagles. Chickens scratch with chickens. The two never fly and scratch together. To live inspired you must love inspired and only want to be around the inspired.

Also go over your patient successes in the staff meeting. Stay focused on all of your victories that you easily forget and take for granted. Clearly illustrate HOW you are healing the land and reforming health care – you need the inspiration and focus of your patient successes. Don’t miss the team zoom calls – make it a part of your team activities to stay focused and inspired. You were tempted to miss this one. You were tempted to never schedule. There is always a natural pull against inspiration – you must choose it if you are going to LIVE inspired!

Then the most important key to LIVING inspired is BE inspiring! You have heard it said, “The greatest exercise for strengthening the heart is reaching down and picking someone up!” This is the giving law that works as consistently as the law of gravity. When you give inspiration to others it is going to come back to you in a much greater portion. When you choose to inspire someone else – you naturally inspire yourself. When you walk into your office with the purpose of inspiring your staff – you become inspiring. When you have to be inspiring in staff meetings – it requires you to concentrate on and prepare to be inspiring. When you walk into the treatment room – walk in with the purpose of inspiring your patients to natural health through chiropractic. It requires you to be inspiring. It forces you to CHOOSE to be inspired. As a result – You GET inspired. So you have the purpose of inspiring your staff and inspiring your patients. The domino effect is that your staff becomes inspiring and they also inspire the patients. The domino effect of that is that your patients stay on their plan and they REFER while they are inspired. And don’t forget – when you are inspiring your patients and inspiring your staff – you undeniably inspire yourself! The inspiration seed that you plant in others actually blooms in YOUR life.

This is also true with the profession. There are lots of chiropractors that need inspiration – they have lost their dream and purpose. They are off track. The light has gone out. They thought they would be living the dream and they are not. You need to bring them back to the dream. Inspire them. Loan them your inspiration. Loan them your faith. Be a faith bank for them. Loan them your Integrity coach for 30 days at no charge to them – just to get them on the right track. Can you think of some doctors right now that need inspiration? They won’t do it just because you suggest it – they must be INSPIRED by you to do it. And when you inspire them – you will have multiplied your gift of healing by growing the career of other doctors. You will have made an impact not only in their practice – but their family. The things they will be able to do for their family and provide for their family – it will change the destination of the entire family in life because they will see that they can be living the dream – all because of you taking the time to INSPIRE!

Finally, choose to inspire your family. You cannot control them. You cannot make choices for them. They will live their own life and come to their own conclusions, but one thing you can do… is inspire them. It’ is hard to think of a greater gift to give them than that. Of course, there are plenty of gifts you can give your family that are great and important but none more impactful. If you want to give them inspiration – you have to make it part of the plan like a planned activity. Otherwise, you are physically present in your home at night and on weekends but not truly with them and not truly giving them anything. You can be home and still not be home.

It is easy to spend your time doing your own thing – on the computer – on the TV – on the phone – on the internet and not really be home. So what should you give your spouse and kids? Give them your inspiration! Plan ways to inspire them. Plan activities to inspire them. People to meet. Shows to watch. Places to go. Books to read. Audios to listen to. Inspire them to live the dream. To live for God. To work hard. To be positive. To have hope. To never give up. Make a list and go to work. The choice is yours to Live Inspired and Be Inspiring! You will never do it naturally – It’s a Success Choice!
