The Christmas season is a time of gift giving, making it perfectly suited for this GREAT internal new-patient referral activity. Providing your patients with a special “Holiday Gift of Health” to pass on to their family members, friends or co-workers will naturally get greater attention during this time of year.

IMPORTANT: This is an INTERNAL event and is a GIFT for your patients to hand out. It should not be posted on social media or distributed out at external marketing events. This is meant for the Christmas season only and is not intended for year round use.

The purpose of this internal promotion is to provide your patients with a sealed envelope that includes a Christmas card and two “Gift of Health” certificates for the patient to “gift” the benefits of your care to friends and loved ones. This promotion will both thank your patients and provide them the opportunity to share their awesome experience with others via this limited time offer!

We have provided all the text for these materials below and we recommend printing the certificates through our VistaPrint ProShop for the best quality and price.

These cards and certificates should be provided to all patients, like any other internal referral activity. For best results, we STRONGLY recommend handing these cards out very early in the Holiday Season, and beat the rush of other Christmas cards and offers your patients will receive. You should have this program ready to go right after the Thanksgiving Holiday. This means you will likely need to begin working on this project several weeks prior to Thanksgiving.

Following-up after the cards and certificates have been handed out is crucial to the success of the promotion. A few days afterwards, you will need to start asking your patients about the certificates. If they indicate that they already have given their Gift of Health certificates away, ask for the names of who received the certificates and create a list of the recipients’ names. Then check your list a few weeks later and if their referrals have not scheduled yet, call the patients, and let them know you have not yet seen their recipients. Remind the patient that the gift they handed out has an expiration date. This will prompt your patient to call the recipients and get them to schedule their appointment before the expiration date.

It is important that you treat each new patient obtained from this activity with the best service possible. This will require using the full Integrity System, just like you would with any other new patient. Do not assume they are just “coming in for the free service”. No one voluntarily goes to see a doctor unless SOMETHING is going on with his or her health. And the same is true if you have a patient using the certificate for themselves to reactivate care. Give them the WHOLE system!!
